Do you remember I mentioned that a few days ago I mentioned the taser death of agitated Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver airport? Well by now youve heard about it since the video of his death his hit youtube and it is now international news, featured even on Wolf Blitzers show on CNN. I usually dont comment on current events that much in my blog but that one REALLY makes me sick. 100% off all intelligent people believe that the police use of the taser on Robert was excessive and unnecessary. Yes, he had thrown a small wooden table and a computer BEFORE the police arrived, but that doesnt warrant a tasering. Reasoning people would agree that 4 police officers should be able to tackle and arrest a agitated and UNARMED man without use of weapons. (When the police arrived, he had only a stapler in his hand. What is he going to do, staple them together?) 4 against ONE? ONE! To make matters worse, the cops didnt attempt resuscitation. It wasnt attempted until the paramedics arrived, 15 minutes AFTER he was DEAD! Good job, idiots! I started loosing respect for the cops a while ago. Now its completely gone. I refer to them as pigs. Please read the wiki article on the incident. Robert Dziekanski. A few days ago we were allowed to wear jeans to work if we made a five dollar donation to United Way. I did that, and we were also encouraged to make an additional donation, so I donated an additional five dollars, but I was able to choose which area I could donate to. There were choices like helping seniors, children from 0-6 years, at risk teens, ect, but the one I ultimately chose seemed appropriate: Immigrants and new comers. Maybe now they can hire some damned translators.
